The Alejandro Zuleta Vallenato Collective presents a new take on Colombian Vallenato with the piano replacing the traditional use of the accordion. Alejandro carries the Zuleta family legacy a long line of celebrated Colombian Vallenato musicians, son of Emiro Zuleta one of the most prolific songwriters of his generation, and great-grandson of Emiliano Zuleta Baquero the composer of "La Gota Fria." The unique sound of the Vallenato Collective has been praised as “The best new Vallenato from Colombia” by journalist Andrea Baquero from HJCK.
The band has become one of the most active Colombian music projects in NYC playing regularly at venues such as Barbes, Terraza 7, The Living Room, LPR among others. In January of 2015, The Vallenato Collective was the special international guest at Festival Centro in Bogotá, Colombia.
